No Sophomore Slump For Showtime!

Showtime dropped his second mixtape [Tha Basics] on November 28, 2015. The mixtape is proving to be sensational. The number of plays and downloads are growing rapidly as the fans, especially the female audience, are gravitating toward his unique blend of sounds containing: R&B, Hip-Hop, Pop, and Rap. The collection has a total of 39,929 plays and 40 downloads on Soudcloud. Showtime speaks humbly about his accomplishment with quote:

It feels great to watch my fan base grow and to know that my current fans are paying close attention to my music. With this mixtape I wanted to show a side other than my OG, boss, street side. [Tha Basics] was intended for the ladies…., of course, because they motivated me to write. Over 90% of the mixtape was written during my freshman and sophomore year of high school, which is when I really began to write my own original material, hence why I called it [Tha Basics]. I also wanted to see how the fans would react to me singing. During my early childhood I used to sing, but toward the end of my childhood  I started rapping. So I was a sing first, rap second type of artist, but now it’s all reversed lol”, he laughed and continued, “I just really wanted my fans to become acquainted with me singing now, then later. I didn’t want them to feel like I went commercial or switched up on them. Especially after the material I dropped on [Tha Hurt Mixtape].”
